Tizway out of Jockey Club Gold Cup
Many horse racing fans were looking forward to seeing Tizway race as the likely favourite at the 2011 Jockey Club Gold Cup on October 1st at Belmont Park but unfortunately he will miss the race due to a fever that developed Thursday.
Trainer H. James Bond stated that Tizway had recently been training brilliantly and still expected to contend at the 2011 Breeders Cup in the Breeders Cup Classic.
Tizway has had a very impressive horse racing season so far this year with wins at the Metropolitan Handicap at Belmont Park and the Whitney Invitational Handicap at Saratoga. Tizway is also the leading contender for Horse of the Year honours.
